The More We Talk...

The more I've talked to various folks in missions in Australia, and "regular" residents of Australia, the more I'm thinking I may need to go back to school real quick and get my teaching certificate...who would have ever thought it? Certainly not I...but, oh, well...if that's what God would have me do...

For those of you who pray for me, PLEASE pray that I would only do that if it's clearly God leading that way, not out of the desire to simply GO to Australia sooner than later...I want to go there SO badly, and I'm tempted to just stuff it and go, like in January...yeah...I'd appreciate your prayers on that! Thanks! :)

So Far...

Well, so far the overriding cry from those I've talked to has been "Find a Sponsoring Church! It's vital!!!" Well...I suppose that'll be one of those things I work on next, then? ;)

(By the way, a sponsoring church would be one IN Australia that chooses to "sponsor" my migration to Australia...a sending church is VERY different...that's my American church that commissions and sends me TO Australia. :))

Kind of Homesick...

Maybe I'm crazy, but I'm homesick for Australia...a country to which I've never been before...in God's timing I'll go. Repeat those words to me over and over... ;)

Migration In?

So, one a worksheet that I'm working on for a missionboard that I feel highly favorable about, the question arose: "Ideas on how to enter the field?" And I found myself in a dilemma...I don't know!

Australia is a very hard field to enter, I've been told, because they don't just let anybody move in...which makes sense. SO, the question becomes how do I enter Australia? With a "business" backing me (such as a church)? As a teacher or some such thing for four years that I might obtain citizenship before embarking on the "main ministry"? Or what? Ah, pondering...so many things to think about!!!
